Hello my friends.....

are you missing me? Well, I am terribly sorry I have not posted in so long. Let me tell ya, first both of my girls were sick and now I have it. Ugly, nasty cold!!!

Just as soon as this nasty bug is out of my system I will be back!!!! Yesterday I went to church with the family, which I thought was a good idea, but it turned out not to be so good as I got a terrible headache caused by that head cold and my sinusis where just all acting up so by the time we've got home almost 5 hours later (yep, we are in church from 11 AM until 2 PM, had a small fellowship and a long way home) and I was as excausted as can be and fell asleep on the couch. I never fall asleep on the couch on a regular Sunday :D. Anyhow, just wanted to update you and let you all know that I have not fallen off of the face of the earth ;D. Please say a prayer or two for me so I can be normal again ;D.

Thanks for not giving up on me, it truly means a lot to me.

Good Tuesday afternoon.....

my stamping friends!!!! Hope you all had a wonderful start into the new week. Sorry I have been absent for a few days, but I had another one of those migraine attacks over the weekend. To tell you the truth they really, really suck. But I am thankful I am feeling better now :D.

I have some exciting news, well, I was actually kind of shocked when I first saw it, but that pocket card I showed you all last week, remember? Well, let me tell you, my friend Lovely Linda e-mailed me in BIG RED letters that I was one of the Three For Thee winners over at ODBD. Me, really, I never ever win anything, so I did not even think in my wildest dreams that I would even be considered, but that was not all. Also last week, Lorelie contacted me and asked if it would be all right to feature another one of my cards which I made with one of the newly released sets from ODBD in the customer pick of the week section of their Blog. Goodness, all of this in one week, how much more could I take? I was so honored that any of my humble creations would be chosen that I had tears in my eyes.

But that was all of the good things that happened to me, today I checked my blogger updates and low and behold I was picked as one of the three Shining Stars Award over Stampin Sisters in Christ Let me tell you, I am super happy and can barely contain myself :D:D:D:D.

Check out this cool award

Sorry, but I can't figure out how to make it blink. Having one of those moments.

All right, now, this is the news I wanted to share with you all on to the card I have for you.

It is a real simple card, but I hope the person this card is going to will be encouraged and get a smile on her face. I don't really know the lady, but heard that she is recovering from surgery and has a long way to go, so I've decided to brighten her day a little :D.

I chose some paper in a lime kind of green, which is from a Making Memories pad I got not long ago. The sentiment was stamped in Certainly Celery unto some PTI white cs which I ran through my bug with a Petite Oval Large die from Nesties. I also added some punched butterflies and white Prima Hydrangeas. Like I've said pretty simple, but I did not want to put too many layers on it as this one has to go all the way to Virginia.

Check it out......

Recipe:

Paper: PTI white, Su Certainly Celery, Making Memories

Stamps: ODBD Get Well

Ink: SU Certainly Celery

Accessories: Nesties Petite Ovals Large, white Hydrangeas from Prima, Martha Stewart 3 butterflies punch, Recollections silver half pearls, Pearl Lettuce Dew Drops, 3D glue dots, Foam Tape, 3 D foam dots

I also have a shot from the inside of the card. You've gotta excuse the shadow and the rock in the picture. I took the pictures outside and the wind kept blowing my card away, so I had to lean it towards the big rock and put a little one in front of it to make it stay ;D.

What do you think? Do you think this card will make this lady's day?

Well, I am off to get some Banana Bread out of the oven. The entire house smells like it {big sigh}, so yummy smelling ;D.

Thank you so very much for stopping by today. If you have a minute I'd love to hear from you. You know those comments make every day a special day :D.

Hi there on this breezy Friday.......

here in AZ! I have a card for you all today, well, I actually had 2, but I could not get a good picture of one of them. I mean I've tried outside, inside, I just could not get the colors to come out right. Don't you hate that? I made this clean and simple card and I used white card stock as my base and added the embellishments on there in form of a handmade flower which I used kind of a dark purple for and some dark purple grosgrain ribbon, but the ribbon looks BLUE in all pictures, so I am not going to post this one. It is bugging me!!!!! Any tips on taking pics of purple things without them looking BLUE?
On to my second card, which I will show you a picture of :D:D:D:D.

Last month I discovered that Taylored Expressions was offering Key Ingredients Kits, and let me tell you I just had to give them a try. So I went to their website and signed up for a 3 months subscription. The August Kit was the first one I received, a little late, because there was such a high demand, but I did receive it and I am loving it!!!!!! This is not the first card I made with this set, but I forgot to take pictures of the other ones before I gave them out already. For those that don't know what the Key Ingredients Kit is all about, you get a box of supplies that are absolutely yummy ;D. There is enough card stock in there to make a ton of cards (16 according to Taylor) , 6x6 DP, coordinating ribbon, rub-on's for the Aug. Kit, and a package of Rhinestones, absolutely GORGEOUS. To find out more about it you can check out the details at Taylored Expressions
this is the link to the info on the 3 months subscription which I have, but I am loving it, so I am thinking about getting the 6 months one ;D.

Here is my card

I thank my God.....

Recipe:
Paper: All papers and card stock from the August Key Ingredient Kit from Taylored Expressions

Ink: Palette Moulin Rouge
Accessories: trim from August Key Ingredient Kit from Taylored Expressions, Nesties Labels 1, Recollections half pearls, foam tape
Don't you just think that this paper is absolutely GORGEOUS???

I did receive my September Kit yesterday, but have not opened it yet, but from what I did see through the package, it is yummy as well ;D.

Well, I am off to get some cleaning done before my 8 y.o. DD comes home from school early today. They are having another half day due to teacher/parent conferences.

Oh, I usually don't say too much about my family here, but I just have to share this with you all. I am a very proud Mommy today, as my 8 y.o. has all A's and A+'s in her quarterly report card. I told her, when she comes home today I'll take her for pizza to Pizza Hut, yep, my kids love Pizza Hut, and she gets to buy a new Nintendo DS game. Sorry, but I just had to share. Doesn't it feel good when your kids do well in school? I hope and pray it stays this way :D.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful weekend, I might just see you all back this weekend, after I get some playtime with my new Kit ;D.

Another one......

can you believe that? Well, it kind of took me forever to get a picture taken and get it uploaded, but I did it, YEAH!!!!

A few weeks back I had ordered some K&Company paper and it has been sitting in my cabinet ever since it arrived and today I finally decided to use it instead of hoarding it :D. One of the papers really caught my eye as it has a lot of Fall colors in it. To make a long story short I used some of this yummy paper, some of the SU in color Crushed Curry, my all time favorite Chocolate Chip and some Creamy Caramel. So in combination with the K&Company Life's Tapestry paper a real yummy concoction ;D.

Have a look and see for yourself.

Wishing you all God's blessings........

Recipe:
Paper: SU Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip, Crushed Curry

Stamps: ODBD Thinking of You

Ink: SU Close to Cocoa

Accessories: Nesties Labels 3, Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon, Prima Hydrangeas from the Annual Brights Collection, antique copper brad, Ginger colored Dew Drops, dimensionals, foam tape, double sided tape, 3D glue dot, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, Kaiser Copper half pearls

So, what do you think? Doesn't this card just say "Fall"? Well, at least the colors ;D.

It is almost 8 PM here and time for me to put my kiddos to bed.

Thanks so much for stopping by, it truly means a lot to me.

Hugs,

For those that wish to leave a comment on this card, please scroll down way down, yeah, way down, or just hit the END button to get to the comment box. I am truly sorry about this but have no idea how this happened. I have been trying to correct it, but it just does not work.

So, if you want to leave me some love, please scroll down, way down ;D. Thank You!!!!

Good Tuesday morning.......

my friends. I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and good start to the week. My family and I had a wonderful weekend meeting some old friends we knew from Okinawa,Japan. We spent most of our day up in Phoenix it was really fun. The visit was way too short, but they are only in AZ for a few days and are heading back to Texas tomorrow :C. The 2 1/2 hours ride up there to Phoenix was long (especially if you have two kids in the back seat fussing "are we there yet?"), but well worth it.

All right now on to my post for today. I am trying to get better in doing challenges and this weeks challenge over at the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Blog is just the right one for me. First of all I love the scripture they chose for this week, Jeremiah 29:11, so powerful and so reassuring!!! This week they are doing a sketch challenge and I loved it the minute I saw it, so I dropped the laundry, not literally :D, and went into my room and just went for it. Have a look at my take on the challenge

Jeremiah 29:11 SSCC4

Recipe:
Paper: PTI Vintage Cream, Bazzill textured cs shade of green, Basic Grey Boxer

Stamps: Verve Cross from Notes of Prayer, Scripture from Jeremiah 29:11

Accessories: Nesties scalloped circle and standard circle large, silver cross charm from WalMart, Prima Hydrangea from the Deep Woods Collection, beige lace from Joann, Making Memories silver brads, foam tape, domensionals, double sided tape, pearl lettuce Dew Drop

So, what y'all think? I have enjoyed making this card, kind of encouraging myself a bit here ;D.

Happy Friday.......

my friends!!! Today is the day, release day at Innovative Stamp Creations. Not just that, but today is also Betsy's Birthday, YEAH!!!!!! And because of that, she is doing something very special that has never been done in ISC's history. You can buy all 5, yes I've 5 newly released stamp sheets for ONLY $ 40.00!!!!!!! (Retail price 56.49!!!) WOW, that is one good deal in my book ;D. This special offer ends Friday 18. September 2009. Here are the links to all 5 sets so you'll get an idea on what you'll get for your buck ;D

Let it Bloom

Tropicals

Shades of Autumn

Farm Life

Country Living

I'd say that is a whole lot of stamps for not that much money ;D.

But wait, to make this a little easier on you to decide I have also a card to share with you all.

For this card I've used the Shades of Autumn stamp sheet
this stamp set is just gorgeous. This image is of a Coleus leave. I was trying to make it look like the Coleus plants that I remember from back home in Germany. We had them everywhere and I remember the really pretty green on the outside of the leaves and a more vibrant burgundy kind of color in the center. To achieve somewhat of that look I used watercolor paper stamped the image of the leaf in SU Mellow Moss and colored it in with my watercolor brush and Adirondack markers in Meadow and Currant which I just took straight form the pen unto my watercolor brush and started blending. As a card base I chose PTI Rustic White and as a second layer Bazzill textured cs in olive and last but not least a layer of PTI Scarlet Jewel (absolutely gorgeous color IRL ;D). Since I wanted to give at least one of my panels a little more interest I stamped that same Coleus leaf several times on the Scarlet Jewel cs in VersaMark and rubbed Pearlecent Chalks in 2 shades of green over it. Sorry, but my camera did not really pick this feature up very well, but believe me, IRL it is really cool looking. To finish the card off I distressed the focal image with my Tim Holtz distressing tool and sponged the edges a bit, added the sentiment in Mellow Moss and added some Dew Drops in Pearl Lettuce and Currant. The ribbon is olive green sheer ribbon from May Arts.

What do you think, does it look like the real thing?

If you have a minute make sure you head on over to the ISC Blog and check out some of the cards the girls made. You will not be disappointed those girls rocked each and every one of the sets.

Thanks so much stopping by today and I hope you've enjoyed your visit.

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Hey there....

me again!!! :D:D:D. I tell ya, I had to squeeze some Therapy time in this morning and it sure worked wonders. I did not just make one card, no, but two. Can you believe that? Well, sometimes things just work out really, really well and today was one of those days!!

For my first card I used some really cool paper I've had in my stash for I really can't remember, but at least 2 years. You know when you first start stamping and you just have to have stuff, just to have it? Well, that was one of those things I just had to have. It is by Creative Imaginations and is called Anthology. It is from one of those all in one packs to cover a chipboard purse. I have never used any of the stickers nor do I know if I ever will, but this paper was just screaming out to be used ;D. Since I did not have a matching blue cardstock to match perfectly, I chose Bashful Blue from SU and it is close enough for me ;D. You know I am still working on getting all the colors of the rainbow and more, in my possession, so I am ready whenever I need to be :D:D.

Anyhow, the base is as mentioned Bashful Blue with a layer of Chocolate Chip both SU, plus the Anthology DP. To make the DP stand out a little more I matted it on SU Chocolate Chip and popped it up with foam tape (love that stuff) To add the sentiment, a scripture from the ODBD newly released set Get Well in this case, I cut a Label with the Nesties Labels 4 die, sponged the edges in SU Chocolate Chip and stamped the scripture in the same color as well. To finish it off I wrapped some of my favorite chocolate satin ribbon around the card. Punched out two Chocolate Chip butterflies with my Martha Stewart butterfly punch adhered them with a dap of glue (one on the other) for more dimension finished it off by adding some Kaiser Cratfs chocolate half pearls and in the upper right corner I stuck a double Prima Hydrangea with a Making Memories antique copper brad. Viola, my card was done!!

Love those colors together. Have a look and see for yourself....

Jeremiah 30:17

Recipe:

Paper: SU Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip, Creative Imaginations DP Anthology

Stamps: ODBD Get Well

Ink: SU Chocolate Chip

Accessories: Nesties Labels 4, Prima Hydrangeas from the Deep Woods Collection, MS butterfly punch, Making Memories antique copper brad, chocolate satin ribbon, Kaiser Crafts chocolate half pearls

My oh my, have I been talking about chocolate chip and yummy chocolate ribbon etc. I think I'll have to get me some Hershey nuggets or something,LOL!!!

So, what do you think?

Well, like I've said, I have another one for you. You know over at Our Daily Bread Designs they have this challenge to create a pocket card and this is what I did. I made an old fashioned double pocket card with tags that have some encouraging words on them from yes, you've guessed, yet another ODBD stamp set. This time I've used the 'Thinking Of You" one. Since I had the Chocolate Chip cardstock out already I used some of it as my base. See I had made one of those cards before so I did not need the instructions, but in case you would like to make one as well, there are really clear and straight forward instructions in the resources section over at SCS. Since I used the regular cardstock as my base I cut some sections of some K&Company Wild Saffron DP and adhered them right on the panels I wanted to be covered. Because I was using the newly released set with the butterflies on the flourish I chose the butterflies paper from this awesome DP stack. To add some more interest I adhered some of the Basic Grey Opaline half pearl flourish on my first pocket and added two Hydrangeas from yet the same Collection as in the above card in a rust color and green/blueish color with some ginger colored Dew Drops as the center. For those that know that K&Company has all kinds of embellishments and such matching their paper stacks I had bought some 3D butterfly stickers and this card was the perfect reason to use one of them ;D. To make kind of a belly band I wrapped some May Arts crocheted brown lace ribbon around the card and added some more Hydrangeas and some cool leaves I got the other day that are also from Prima. Since they came with a little of a pinkish tint on the tips I simply rubbed a Chalk Box Chestnut Roan catseye over the edges to make them match my project more. The "Thinking Of You" was stamped directly on the DP in Memento Rich Cocoa. For the tags I used my Cricut Expression and the Tag, Bags, Boxes & More cartridge and cut the tag # 10 in the first row @ 4.5" out of PTI Vintage Cream cs. If you cut it, it will automatically cut a slit for the ribbon for you ;D. To blend them in a little more I rubbed the Chestnut Roan ink spot over the edges threaded some yummy antique gold silk ribbon through and I was almost done. Yes, almost, as I still had to figure out what I was going to stamp on it. Well, since this stamp set comes with quite a few sentiments I stamped "Thinking about you....." in Chalk Box Bisque on my first tag plus I used the Flourish and butterfly stamp in Chestnut Roan to fill up some space and fnished it off with some Kaiser Crafts chocolate mini half pearls which I added to the flourish .

For my second tag I used the same ribbon but I stamped "Wishing you all...." in Memento Rich Cocoa and some of the flourish part in Bisque on the edges. As I only wanted the flourish part dressed up at the top I added some mini golden half pearls for more interest.

I had to take three pictures to show you everything so here we go

Pocket card with tags inside

Pocket card first tag

Pocket card 2nd tag

Recipe:
Paper: Su Chocolate Chip, PTI Vintage Cream, K&Company Wild Saffron

Stamps: ODBD Thinking Of You

Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Chalk Box Chestnut Roan, Creamy Brown, Bisque

Accessories: ScorPal, Prima Hydrangeas from the Deep Woods Collection, Ginger colored Dew Drops, K&Company Wild Saffron Dimensional Butterfly stickers, Cricut Expression Tags, Bags, Boxes and more cartridge, antique gold silk ribbon, Basic Grey Opaline half pearl flourish, May Arts crocheted lace in brown, Kaiser Crafts chocolate half pearls, Recollections golden half pearls

That is it!!! This is not a card you want to ship!!!!! Way too many embellishments, so I am hand delivering this one :D:D.

I guess all that is left for me to do is to go on over to the ODBD Blog and link this baby.

All right now, I'll have to fix some lunch, it's almost 1 PM here. My 4 y.o. had a snack a little while ago and she is happy until her sister gets home from school in about another 1 1/2 hours. They love to have lunch together.

Thanks again for stopping by today.

Hugs,

Good Thursday morning......

my friends. It is day 3 of ISC's sneak peek and I tell ya, you will love it. Today I've decided to share a card with you that was made with a set that is called "Let It Bloom". It is one of the smaller sets, but let me tell ya, it is so fun. For this card I used a base of SU Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette and my all time favorite Basic Grey Porcelain DP. I can't get enough of this yummy combination of brown and pink. For my flower I stamped all three sizes of the flower on a sheet of marbled kind of looking pink paper from the Porcelain DP pack cut them out and layered them, holding them together with pop dots and to give them dimension. I also curled the pedals a bit by using my stylus. Everything else on this card is pretty obvious :D. See for yourself...

Grateful..........

Recipe:
Paper: SU Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette, Basic Grey Porcelain

Stamp: Let it Bloom ISC

Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa

Accessories: Nesties petite scalloped ovals, Basic Grey Opaline pink half pearls flourish, light pink sheer ribbon from my stash, Dew Drops from the Hyacinth Mix.

Don't you just love those colors together? I really like this marbled paper that is in the DP pad, as it gives the flower a little more of a realistic look.

A few months back I discovered those fun little flourish pearl thingies from Basic Grey and just had to give them a try. They gave me a little of a hard time at first, you know after all they are sticky and tend to twist on you, but I got them under control and I love the way they add just that right little touch without being too overpowering ;D.

Well, that is it for right now. Please, make sure you come back tomorrow as we have a very special offer for you. No, I am not telling any more of it today, it is a surprise ;D;D.

Have a wonderful day.

Me again, with another card...

yep, I have another card for you all today. Most of you know that I love scripture stamps so, after seeing some of my blogging friends posting about these cool new sets from ODBD I just had to order them. Yes, I've ordered all three new sets and they came in yesterday. I love butterflies, and combined with those encouraging phrases and scriptures it was just a "MUST HAVE" for me. Today is the day that the Bible Verse Challenge projects over at SCS should be uploaded and so I took the time this morning to create a simple card.

I always thank God.........

Recipe:
Paper: PTI white, Basic Grey Lilikate

Stamps: ODBD Friendship for the scripture
Thinking of You for the flourish and butterfly

Ink: Su Certainly Celery, VersaFine OnyxBlack

Accessories: Nesties petite ovals large, celery colored satin ribbon
dimensionals, bling flowers and drops which are designed to adorn your finger nails, but I kind of saw potential for my card making creations ;D.

What do you think? Would that be a card you'd love to receive?

If you are interested in this challenge head on over to SCS
it is so encouraging.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I am off to get some cleaning done. See you all later.

Hugs,

Hello you all....

and welcome to day 2 of ISC's sneak peeks. Today I have a card for you that I made with a set that will be released on Friday 11. September 2009 and it is called "Shades of Autumn". This one was real fun to create as I went a little outside of my comfort zone and had to think on how to get the effect that I wanted without having (yeah, I know, I am way behind, I still don't have my copics, my vacuum gave up on me so my hubby had to buy me a new vacuum instead of those copics, darn it ;D) the right tools, but I think I am pretty close on what those sea grass leaves look like in Fall by using some DP and my old faithful watercolor pencils. Not perfect, but pretty close ;D. So let me tell you a little about how I achieved the look of my card before I actually show it to you. I had some Scrapperdashery DP leftover from a previous project and I stamped the sea grass leaves on it in VersaMark and embossed them with brown embossing powder. After that I used 3 different shades of brown of my watercolor pencils and blended them together with my blender pen (yep, not my watercolor brush ;D) and to make the edges a little more worn and antiqued I simply ran my Tim Holtz distressing tool over the edges and then sponged the edges with Chalk Box Dark Brown and Creamy Brown. Since I was going for Fall colors for this card I chose SU Chocolate Chip for the card base layered with some PTI Vintage Cream which I also distressed with Chalk Box Bisque and Creamy Brown. After I adhered the Vintage Cream layer on the base I added the stamped image panel unto it with dimensionals. To give this last panel a little more interest I added four Ginger colored Dew Drops in the corners wrapped some Antique Gold silk ribbon from Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply Ribbon store around it and to finish it off I stamped the sentiment in Memento Rich Cocoa unto a scalloped oval which I cut out with my Nesties scalloped ovals dies. See for yourself.....

Sure do miss ya...

Recipe:

Paper: SU Chocolate Chip, PTI Vintage Cream, Scrapperdashery DP

Stamp: Shades of Autumn

Ink: VersaMark, Memento Rich Cocoa, Chalk Box Bisque, Creamy Brown, Dark Brown

Accessories: Nesties scalloped ovals, antique gold colored silk ribbon, brown embossing powder, Watercolor pencils in 3 shades of brown, dimensionals, Ginger colored Dew Drops

What ya think?

Well, this is it for day 2 of the sneak peek. I hope I'll you back tomorrow for another peek.

Thanks for stopping by.

It is once again sneak peek time...

Oh my goodness, where has time gone? Another month already gone and it is time for Innovative Stamp Creations sneak peek for the September release. You are in for a treat this month. There is a little bit for everyone. Today I am showing you a little peek of a set called "The Tropics". This stamp sheet is very versatile and I had fun creating with it. See, I have been in a little more masculine card making over the last few weeks and this set can be used for either feminine or masculine cards. For my sneak peek I chose some rustic cream cs from PTI and some textured cs from a DCWV pad in chocolate brown. To get use out of the script stamp that is included in this sheet I took it and stamped it on rustic cream cs in SU Mellow Moss. The stamp is appr. 1" wide and appr. 5" long so not an entire BG stamp but real easy to align. I did not even use a guide or anything, I just went for it ;D. To give it a little more interest I cut the script panel with my Nesties curved rectangles die and distressed the edges by running a chalk box cats eye over them in Creamy Brown. To give it a little more earthy feeling I added some Jute ribbon I found in the $ bin at Michael's. For my image I chose this palm leaf and stamped it in SU Mellow Moss and colored it in with watercolor pencils. To add a sentiment I used the three simple words "keep in touch" stamped on one of the Nesties Ribbon Tag Trios in SU Close to Cocoa which I attached to the card by threading some stitched grosgrain ribbon through. To make the palm leaves pop a little more I matted them with DCWV textured chocolate cs which I punched out with my 1.5" scalloped square punch and voila, you've got the finished card.

See for yourself.....

Recipe:
Paper: PTI Rustic Cream, DCWV textured chocolate brown

Stamps: ISC The Tropics

Ink: SU Mellow Moss, Close to Cocoa, Chalk Box Creamy Brown

Accessories: Nesties Megabilities curved rectangles, Nesties Ribbon Tags Trio, Making Memories celery stitched ribbon, Offray Jute ribbon, EK Success 1.5" scalloped square punch, Watercolor pencils, 3D pop dots, double sided tape

What do you think?

If you like this set make sure to head on over to Innovative Stamp Creations on Friday 11.September 2009, when this set will be available to purchase.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today. I will have another sneak peek for you all tomorrow so make sure you'll come back :D. If you have a minute head on over to see the other gals from the DT, they can be found in the my sidebar. You will be in for a treat, they have some really cool cards to show you as well.

Hugs and have a wonderful day,

Good afternoon......

I know you probably did not expect another post from me so quick :D!! Well, while I was going through my blogger updates I noticed that I never did the challenge this week over at Stampin' Sisters in Christ where the challenge this week is to make a card for your DH or SO or whatever you have ;D to let them know that you love them. To find out more about it head on over there and check it out. Well, this one was kind of easy for me, as I love my hubby but don't tell him nearly enough (and the other way around ;P) so I decided to go with some of his favorite colors and since I don't have very many stamps that say I love you, I decided to go with the SU set "Three little words". The card itself is pretty simple. I started out with a long retired base of Buckaroo Blue, some Chocolate Chip and last but not least some Basic Grey Archaic DP. Love that stuff and it has such nice, a little more masculine papers in it. My hubby is not a man of lots of frill and stuff so I chose the Nesties Megabilities curved rectangles and added some WeRMemoryKeepers silver Hardware. Since I did not want to use ribbon, I used some Hemp Twine in natural and brown. The sentiment was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa. To make the card look more ruffed up ;D I used my Tim Holtz Distressing tool and distressed the edges of the Chocolate Chip layer.

Now all that is left to do is go on and add my name to Mr. Linky over at Stampin'
Sisters in Christ and hand it to my DH when he gets home tonight. Who knows it might just end up to be a romantic kind of night ;P;P.

Oh, it would help if I showed you guys the card, right?

Three little words.......

Recipe:
Paper: SU Buckaroo BLue, SU Chocolate Chip, Basic Grey Archaic

Stamp: SU Three little words

Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa

Accessories: Nesties Megabilities curved rectangles, WeRMemoryKeepers silver Hardware, Hemp Twine in natural and brown, Foam Tape, Dimensionals

So, what do you think? Is this masculine enough? I mentioned it yesterday, that I don't do masculine well, but I think I am getting the hang of it :D. I mean two cards in two days that are masculine. You think that is a sign, LOL?

Well, that is it for me for now. I still have to finish cleaning out my 4 y.o. closet. Let me tell ya, my child has way too much stuff.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you all have a wonderful day!!!

Hi there......

on this very cloudy and very humid day here in Southern AZ. I have been busy yesterday creating a few cards which I can't show you as of yet ;P, but I was also able to make 2 cards which I am going to show you right here and now :D:D:D. You know when you have this idea in your head and you just can't stop thinking about it. Well, that is exactly what happened with this very masculine card I came up with. For those that know me, know that I have a very, VERY hard time with masculine cards and they usually take me forever to come up with, because they just can't be too cute and not have too many embellishments on them (I am addicted to embellishments :D:D:D, especially ribbon and flowers!!!), but is was not so with this card!!! Everything came together so quickly I surprised myself, LOL!!!. So, here is my very masculine

Psalm 19:34 card

Recipe:

Paper: PTI Kraft, SU Chocolate Chip

Stamp: Verve Meditations

Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Chalk Box Chestnut Roan, SU Close to Cocoa

Accessories: Cuttlebug emb. folder forest branches, Nesties Megabilities curved rectangles, Recollections antic copper mini brads, Jute twine from Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply Ribbon Store , Faith Keepers "pray" charm in antic copper

So, what you all think about this very masculine card? I love the way it came out. I think I am getting more comfortable doing masculine. Even my DH said "Wow, I like this one!" He usually just gives me the "look" and that is it, but this time he actually answered me :D:D:D.

Wait, that is not it, I have another card. This one is a card that I made to go with a name frame I made for a friend of a friend. The name frame is not all the way done, I have to change a few things, but the card is done and I really like that it is not the traditional soft and elegant ;D.

Have a look and see for yourself

Elegant Cheer meets Baroque Motifs

Recipe:
Paper: SU Chocolate Chips, PTI Rustic White, K&Company Roam

Stamps: SU Elegant Cheer, SU Baroque Motifs

Ink: SU Close to Cocoa, Chalk Box Creamy Brown

Accessories: MS Butterfly punch, Recollections half pearls, Nesties Classic ovals, Kaiser Crafts chocolate half pearls, chocolate satin ribbon, Dew Drops in Pearl Lettuce, Prima mini blooms

What do you think? Does this one classify as a Wedding card?

See the couple is into earth tones, so I thought I'd use just that :D

Well, I am off to go to the grocery store. My DH gave me a hit last night that he is out of grape jelly and PB. He loves a PB&J sandwich ever so often after dinner. I have no idea why, but he just loves it. He does not like to share his PB either :D. So, I will go for now. Thanks for stopping by today, it really means a lot to me that you do take the time and to stop by and leave me some love. Your comments keep me going and they truly do make my day.

Hugs,
